I found a web quest on the internet for the students to use.  It went along with our unit in science where we were learning about the different classes of animals such as mammals, amphibians, reptiles, etc.  For this web quest, the students had to get on the computer and research a particular animal from one of the animal classes.  Then, each student shared their information with the whole class.  Finally, each student created their own Pet Shop.  Since they did such a good job, they were all included in a picture for the local newspaper.  Jacob's Pet Shop was also selected to go to Montgomery for a Visual Arts Contest.  I was so proud and amazed at everyones creativity.  It took us about two weeks to complete the assignment, but it was worth it.  The children really enjoyed doing this project.
